103 Kloof street, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town,

I have the best news ever! It’s not the most recent news but you will have to forgive me as I have just returned from a three year stint in Joburg. I had to leave a lot of things behind in Joburg (some of my favourite restaurants, incredible people and amazing places to shop) but when I arrived back in the Mother City I was thrilled to discover that one of my favourite decor spots, Ceramic Factory had followed me here! If you are yet to discover this then read on because it’s not only a home decor haven but also a gifting paradise!

I have been a huge fan of the Ceramic Factory store in Linden, Joburg for ages so when I discovered that they had opened the doors to a showroom and store on Kloof Street in Cape Town I was ecstatic! Just like its Joburg counterpart, the store in Cape Town is chock full of all sorts of fun and fabulous ceramic creations that will just make your heart melt. I love that all the designs in store follow the idea of being fun yet functional -  but with a little more emphasis on the fun. Looking at items like the yellow Salt and Pepper Shaker Binoculars and the Dinosaur Cake Plate there is no doubt that everything on their shelves is made to be a talking point in your home. And the best bit? You can visit the store often as they fill the shelves with new and different collections every few months.

Each collection focuses on a specific theme and takes a unique and creative stance on everyday items like cake plates, pencil holders, salt and pepper shakers, vases, book ends and more. From brightly coloured bokkies and bunnies to skulls, dinosaurs and rhinos you will see them all at Ceramic Factory. On my last visit I fell in love with their bunny rabbit figurines and a camera lense candle holder. If you’ve got a birthday or housewarming coming up this month, then this is the perfect place to go hunting for a unique gift for a friend or a new addition to your home. Their prices range from R135 to R1 200 so you can choose to spare your wallet or spoil yourself.
