I get sent so many beauty products to review that I often don’t have space to review the smallest ones – the ones that might not necessarily warrant an entire blog post but are still pretty darn cool! So, I thought I would start doing some smaller beauty round ups where I can include products that I absolutely love or that are just really, really fun to use. Here are my top 5 beauty finds for the month!

1. Shiseido Eyebrow Styling Compact

This little compact is everything you need to create the perfect brows! The compact comes with dark and light brown eyebrow powders as well as a double-sided applicator brush that allows you to easily draw sharp lines and fill in your brows where needed. It is the best eyebrow compact I have ever used and would definitely recommend it for ladies who want a more professional –looking finish to their eyebrows.  (Price: Approx R300 for the compact - available at selected Stuttafords and Edgars stores).

2. Konjac Facial Puff Sponge

A few people have been raving to me about the oh-so-awesome Konjac Sponge! This little sponge is made from the Konjac potato or Konnyaku, a plant native to Asia. This potato is a totally natural food source and is made up of 97 percent water and is completely vegan. It is also naturally alkaline and pH neutral to leave skin perfectly balanced. The sponges come in a range of facial and body sponges and are great for problem skin. I got the chance to try out the French Pink Clay Konjac (which is ideal for those suffering from the weather extremes of air conditioning, excess sun exposure and central heating). The pure French Pink Clay gently purifies even the most sensitive skin and has a softening and plumping effect to improve elasticity and refresh your skin’s appearance. You can also purchase a sponge specifically for acne prone, oily or for normal/combination skin types. (Price: Approx R210 - available from www.infinity-skincare.co.za).

3. Me and My Ice Cream

This new range from Essence is incredibly cute and fun! I love the fun 50s inspired sherbet colours in this range of nail polishes, eye shadows, lip balms, hand wipes and more. The products also come in adorable 50s soda shop style packaging which I love! I got the chance to try out the eyeshadow in ‘Cone Head’, ‘Icylicious’ and ‘Always on my mint’ (R39.95 each), the lip balm in ‘Ice, ice baby’, (R39.95 each) and the Nail polish in ‘Always on my mint’, ‘Ice, ice baby’, and ‘Icylicious’ (R24.95 each). Other products in the range include the Nail topping stickers in Rainbow sprinkles (R29.95) and Hand wipes in ‘I scream ice cream’ (R19.95). (Available from Clicks).

4. Kerastase's New Styling Products

Kerastase has launched a whole new range of styling products that allow you to style with ease. The range includes everything from lifting and volumising products to finishing serums but my favourite products from the new line have got to be the Spray à Porter finishing spray (R260) and the Powder Bluff dry shampoo (R300). Both of these products are simply to die for! The Powder Bluff is an amazing dry shampoo and is bound to be your best friend between washes and as for the Spray à Porter it adds shine like no other product I have ever used! I also love that most of the styling products in the range come with built in heat protector so there’s no need to apply an additional product! (Available from various leading hair salons).

5. Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo

I am loving the Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo! The Macadamia range of professional hair care products is focused on healing and beautifying problem hair through the use of Macadamia and Argan oils. These oils are known to revitalize even the most problem hair and all you need to do to prove it is use this fabulous shampoo! The Macadamia Natural Oil Rejuvenating Shampoo helps treat damaged (sun, wind, chemicals), frizzy, dry, coloured, straightened, permed and brittle hair to give you soft, luscious locks that shine. (Available from Hairhouse Warehouse)
